Aujourd'huiAujourd’hui – Boston, MA
Located in the posh. Four Seasons Hotel, Aujourd’hui emerges as a restaurant that is far more than just the hotel’s dining room, but a destination in its own right. The high-ceilinged room is lavishly appointed, with large windows overlooking the Public Garden (request a windowside table for maximum romance). The attention to detail is apparent in the attentive service as well as the food. While technically French (the chef, Jerome Lagras, was previously at the Four Seasons George V Paris Hotel), there are plenty of unusual combinations of ingredients to keep the surprises coming and the approach fresh: Seared black sea bass with Mitake risotto, escargot baked in phyllo dough, beef carpaccio with goat cheese-stuffed fig. If you’re in the mood for a sandwich, try the lobster and tenderloin Montecristo sandwich with crispy onion strings. Expensive but worth every penny.
