The Lady and Sons - Savannah, GA
Food Network star Paula Deen runs this award winning Savannah restaurant with her sons (well, as the name would suggest). Paula brings her Southern country cooking to the table in the elegent, yet comfy, surroundings of her gorgeous downtown Savannah location. Expect to eat lowcountry favorites like fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, and Paula's acclaimed chicken pot pie. Can't make up your mind? The restaurant also offers an all-you-can-eat Southern buffet. Definitely save room for the pecan pie!
The Lady and Sons can be one of the hottest tickets in town, especially during holidays and tourist seasons. Hostesses start taking lunch reservations at 9:30 am for seatings starting at 11:00 am, and dinner bookings around 3:30 pm, for seatings starting at 5pm. Parties of ten or more can make advance bookings.
Prices are as unpretentious as the cooking, with the most expensive meal (steak and pie) coming in at $24.99. Check out the menu on The Lady and Sons' homepage.

Yes, I agree this restaurant has some good southern home cooking. If one enjoys southern cuisine, than he/she should check this restaurant out if you are in Savannah, Georgia. However, you will have to make reservations. Do not think you can just walk off the streets, into this restaurant. One would have to make reservations or stand in a very long line. ( a mile or two) This is a 3 to 4 start restaurant.
