The Pork Pit
Once you taste the jerk pork at The Pork Pit in Montego Bay, you’re pretty well ruined for everything else. The jerk seasoning, redolent with thyme, pimento, ginger and, of course, scotch bonnet chilies, is positively addicting, and a half pound of pork, accompanied by a baked sweet potato and an ice cold bottle of Red Stripe, makes for a mighty fine lunch, eaten at one of the picnic tables that surrounds the restaurant.
